Movies, Movies, Everywhere
Trying to think of what we did last weekend. I should really stop waiting so long to do these, for everyone’s benefit. So, last weekend we saw Inception. AMAZING. In competition with V for Vendetta for the best movie of all time. I will be making comments on a bunch of movies and shows from now on because we finally got Netflix. On that note, we have started watching Dexter. In accordance with the prophesies I love it. We also watched Boondock Saints 2, and hated it. So on Sat. Irina and the kids came over to watch us feed the reptiles, and that segued into the Broad Ripple art fair. There was so much stuff I wanted, but I was good and it was fun to see and be there regardless. After that we went to Texas Roadhouse, and finished the night hanging out with the Howards, and playing some chess. Then we went to UAE on Sunday. So to address the southern elephant in the room (where the fuck did they get that that was a southern phrase?) Boondock Saints 2. One of the worst movies ever. Why? 1: They took the first one chopped it up into bits and scenes, shuffled them, re-assembled, and done. Almost no innovation or continuation whatsoever. 2: The writing was so bad it made everyone look like bad actors even though they aren't. 3: Bringing back Rocco for a few copy cat tirades from the first one that made no sense with the other plot. What was that about? 4: At the beginning they’re in hiding. The Whole damn point of the court house scene was to let the world know who they were and what they were doing and after that they go into hiding? 5: the mafia was laughable 6: The new lady was irritating 7: Although I kinda liked the new Rocco, it was still irritating because he was just the new rocco. Normally I don’t go into negative topics on this blog but I thought it was important. Anyway, have fun, live life, and as the Ramones say “adios amigos.”
